Touching clay sends energy into my heart. It connects me to the earth...to nature. For me clay and dream work are where I connect with the language of the soul.
Clay work is the path to my inner world...intuitive flashes...insightful gifts of learning for me as well as a chuckle or two. I am drawn to the figure...the male and female energy it represents in us all...and the struggle we face to claim our authenticity in this life.

The process of making these subjects transform from an internalized feeling into a physical image is very satisfying, as my work becomes the witness to a visual truth within the artistic expression of my life.

I love the multiple meanings that seem to emerge after the work is complete, meanings that have brought healing and humor in my mid-life passage of not taking my self too seriously. The themes have ranged from corporate humor, to a peek at the gold in the shadow of my now-valued imperfections...a connection to my soul voice...and an appreciation of the shared threads that run through us all.
